The beltgrades in Taekwon-Do is divided in two groups; coloured belts and black belts. Altoghether 19 grades in 6 colours. Each colour has its own symbolism.
White, yellow, green, blue and red are the coloured belts. There are two grades on each colour, thus 10 in total. Coloured belts start with 10th Gup (grade) and ends with 1st Gup.
Black belt starts on I. Dan (rank) and ends with IX. Dan.
